From the 15th to 19th of January 2024, SolBridge International School of Business welcomed 8 teams from partner universities worldwide (Philippines, Spain, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Morocco, South Korea, and India) to our annual International Business Plan Competition. This year marked the first time the university hosted this event offline since the pandemic.

The event was partnered with ecarPlug co., Ltd., an emerging company specializing in developing electric car chargers and electric energy supply/management devices based on advanced info-communications technology (ICT). Students tested their teamwork and entrepreneurship skills by presenting their solution to this year’s theme: “Business Strategy and Future Direction of EV Charging Service”.

Before heading to the competition, all the teams had a few days to explore the beautiful Daejeon and experience the Korean culture on the field trip to Daecheong Lake, one of the biggest lakes in the city. Students got the opportunity to make new friends and create memorable moments before entering the final presentation on the 19th.

In the final presentation, 8 teams from different parts of the world joined to compete offline at the SolBridge campus. The final stage of the competition involved live presentations, where teams pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges in a dynamic and competitive environment. Each team brought up their in-depth analysis of the company ecarPlug co., Ltd’s, which overseas market they should expand next, and how the company can leverage each country’s uniqueness to penetrate and expand in that market.
