This year’s homecoming was a perfect way for SolBridge students to unwind from the long and exhausting week of mid-terms. In preparation for the homecoming celebration, the Student Council organized various activities like “Hollywood Surprise” where students were given different treats to boost their morale during exam week, charity and free hugs by Student Council, and Sol-Caring Volunteers all gearing up to the final event on Friday.

SolBridge Homecoming is an annual event held every spring semester that highlights some of its prominent alumni. Current students get to network with the alumni as they share words of wisdom on how to thrive at SolBridge and prepare for the world post-SolBridge. They receive first-hand experience by learning from these alumni who exhibited excellent academic records and received distinguished job placements after graduation. Homecoming was also a great way for Alumni to refresh their social ties and connections they built during their time at SolBridge.

This year SolBridge was thrilled to have Elena Chen, who is currently working at Sol International School, Woosong University, and Oh Soyoun, Associate Consultant ABLE Consulting share their experience with students and faculty. They both shared their experiences about how to make the best of what SolBridge offers and their journeys to their current job positions. “Networking gives you the opportunities to meet new people, influences you positively, and helps to build your confidence,” said Oh Soyoun as she encouraged students to network. “Find happiness in whatever you do, enjoy where you are and enjoy what you have,” she added.

It was exciting to see SolBridge students dressed up as their favorite movie characters for this year’s “Hollywood” theme. Dr. Endicott shared a brief history of “Homecoming” and how SolBridge homecoming has grown through the years. “This is a great evening for fun, relaxation, networking and forgetting about the midterms for a while,” Dr. Endicott said while encouraging the students to enjoy the evening and network with the alumni.

Students put together a great show with open mic performances from Darina Starostina, Latisha Pinkan, Hanh Nguyen and Khanh Dau; Music by our Music Club, and a dance routine by the D2 Crew among others. The highlight of the event was the crowning of Homecoming Queen Charlotte Souksamlane, and Homecoming King Amir Kamalov.

There is something about Hollywood that captivates all of us, and this event did just that, from the food, performances, decorations, the paparazzi, the glamor, and costumes made each and every one feel like celebrities if only for one night.

SolBridge would like to recognize the SolBridge Student Council for organizing and all the participating clubs for making this event memorable.
