SolBridge Debate Society Recognized by AACSB
Earlier this year in February, SolBridge International School of Business received the Innovation that Inspire Award from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for the remarkable work done by its Debate Society.
The SolBridge Debate Society (SDS) earned prizes in national and regional competitions in neighboring countries such as Japan, China and Hong Kong. The Debate Society progressively got involved in social work and encouraged the creation of other debate clubs in Korea, particularly with middle and high schools in Osan, Gyeonggi-do Province. While SDS focuses its work within Korea, few initiatives have been developed overseas, for instance in Kazakhstan with current students Hyun Song and Madiyar Khossediyas.
Collaboration with
Osan schools has been fruitful as two high school students won the national
debate championships in August 2015. Missions coordinated by the SolBridge
Debate Society target the acquisition of communication skills and social
competencies.
Followed by the
success of its cooperation with Osan City schools, SolBridge Debate Society
plans to initiate similar social projects with Cheongju City.
