“Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.”

At SolBridge International School of Business, Orientation is more than a welcome to campus. It is the first step in building a sense of belonging, discovering new opportunities, and becoming part of a diverse international community.

Under the theme “Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.”, Fall 2026 Orientation Week welcomed our newest students and provided them with opportunities to connect with one another, learn about life at SolBridge and in Korea, and begin developing the knowledge, confidence, and relationships needed for their university journey.

Throughout the week, students participated in a wide range of academic, cultural, and community-focused sessions designed to help them feel prepared and supported as they begin their lives at SolBridge.

Building a Sense of Belonging

Starting life in a new university and, for many students, a new country can be both exciting and challenging. Orientation Week therefore placed a strong emphasis on helping students adapt to their new environment and feel comfortable within the SolBridge community.

Sessions on Korean Culture and Life in Korea introduced students to important aspects of everyday life and Korean culture, helping them better understand and navigate their new surroundings. Korean Law & Safety provided students with essential information about staying safe and understanding important responsibilities while living and studying in Korea.

Student well-being was also an important part of the week. Through Counseling and Well-being sessions, students learned about the support and resources available to them throughout their time at SolBridge, reinforcing the importance of taking care of their personal well-being alongside their academic development.

Reflecting SolBridge’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), students also participated in Embracing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, encouraging them to appreciate different cultures, perspectives, and experiences and to contribute to a respectful and inclusive community.

Together, these experiences helped students take their first steps toward answering an important question: What does it mean to belong at SolBridge?

Preparing to Lead Anywhere

Belonging is only the beginning. SolBridge Orientation also introduced students to the academic and professional opportunities available throughout their university journey.

Through a range of educational and academic sessions, students became familiar with the expectations, resources, and opportunities that will support their studies. Students were also introduced to Beta Gamma Sigma, connecting academic achievement with opportunities for professional and leadership development.

These sessions encouraged students to look beyond their first semester and begin thinking about the skills, experiences, and perspectives they can develop at SolBridge, skills that can prepare them to contribute and lead in an increasingly interconnected world.

The message was clear: leadership does not begin with a title. It begins with curiosity, collaboration, confidence, and the willingness to learn from others.

SolChallenge Video Competition: “Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.”

One of the highlights of Orientation Week was the SolChallenge Video Competition, a signature team video competition centered on the theme “Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.” Through creativity, teamwork, and storytelling, students were challenged to explore what it means to find their place within the SolBridge community while looking ahead to the possibilities beyond campus.

Working with classmates they had only recently met, students collaborated, exchanged ideas, navigated different perspectives, and created videos that reflected their unique interpretations of the theme. Each team brought together different backgrounds, personalities, and perspectives to create a shared story.

The activity captured the spirit of “Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.” Students were encouraged to embrace their individual identities while building connections with others, demonstrating how diverse voices and perspectives can come together to create something meaningful.

Throughout the week, students also documented their journey through creative vlogs, capturing their first impressions, new friendships, challenges, discoveries, and memorable moments.

Together, these videos form a digital time capsule of Fall 2026 Orientation, preserving the first memories of our newest students as they connected with their peers and began their SolBridge journey.

Following the successful completion of the SolChallenge, SolBridge proudly celebrates the three teams whose creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm earned them the top prizes:

While these teams were recognized for their outstanding submissions, the SolChallenge Video Competition was ultimately about much more than competition. Every participating team contributed to the energy, creativity, and collaborative spirit of Orientation Week.

Orientation and the Sustainable Development Goals

The values reflected throughout Orientation Week also connect with SolBridge’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

By creating an inclusive learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds can participate, collaborate, and learn from one another, Orientation particularly reflects SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.

From learning how to adapt to a new environment to engaging with different perspectives and collaborating across cultures, students experienced how diversity can become a source of learning, creativity, and collective strength.

From First Steps to Belonging

For many students, Orientation Week marks their first experience of life at SolBridge. It is a week of new faces, unfamiliar surroundings, new challenges, and countless first experiences.

Yet, through shared experiences, unfamiliar faces can become teammates, classmates can become friends, and a university campus can begin to feel like home.

That is the heart of the Fall 2026 Orientation theme: “Belong Here. Lead Anywhere.”

At SolBridge, belonging means creating a community where students feel welcomed, respected, supported, and confident enough to share their voices. From that foundation, students can develop the knowledge, skills, and global perspectives needed to make a positive impact wherever their journey takes them.

SolBridge extends its sincere appreciation to all participating students, student leaders, faculty, and staff who contributed to making Fall 2026 Orientation a meaningful and memorable experience.
